Holm House boasts the best outdoor bar and dining spot this summer

Enjoying alfresco plates on a summer night, accompanied by the warmth of firelight. Holm House, one of Cardiff and Vale's most luxurious hotel and dining experiences, has gone through extensive refurbishment. All 12 ensuite bedrooms have been uplifted, along with its magnificent newly transformed outdoor dining space that has opened up just in time for the sunny season.

Perched on the cliffs of Penarth, overlooking the coast, Holm House has been blessed with one of the largest outdoor seating terraces in the area. Utilising its potential, Holm House decided to invest a hefty sum into re-landscaping, making it one of the top outdoor fine dining spots to book this summer.

General manager Dan Jones told us “We fully realised the potential of our huge outdoor space when covid restrictions permitted outdoor hospitality only. The garden was our saving grace in terms of being able to trade”

Boasting a perfectly curated space for groups and parties, Holm House has kitted out their garden, installing a plush outdoor bar, state of the art heaters and two sunken seater fire pits that each seat sixteen. Guests can enjoy Holm Houses' newly imagined summer menu alfresco style whilst sipping on one of their upmarket slushies; Provence Frose, Aperol Spritz or a drink from their extensive range of frozen cocktails.

Excited to see Holm House return to its former glory, as we are now re-emerging from the pandemic, Dan is looking forward to seeing more guests visiting the newly upgraded hotel and garden. As we enter this summer which seems to have more of a reminisce of normality, Holm house has launched a large programme of events that will stretch out across the summer months.

With plans to expand further, part two of the expansion will see the reopening of its swimming pool and the transformation of its restaurant and lounge space all set to start in the autumn.
